At least 95 lives — most of them in Kerr County — have been tragically lost in the devastating flash floods that struck Texas on the night of July 4th. Among the victims are young attendees and staff at summer camps, teachers, a football coach, and a heroic father who broke a window to save his family.

Camp Mystic in Hunt, TX was hit especially hard. The Guadalupe River surged as much as 22 feet in just 30 minutes, reaching a height of 30 feet in nearby Comfort, TX — breaking a decades-old record. The youngest cabins were swept away. At least 27 girls and staff have been confirmed dead, with about 20 girls still missing. Search and rescue helicopters found many girls clinging to trees miles away. Evacuations are ongoing.

All proceeds from this hat will go to Grace Peters’ @gracejpeters GoFundMe, which is raising funds to provide therapy and trauma care for the girls of Camp Mystic and their families as they face the long-term effects of PTSD.
